Turq Ara'Lyban
Turq and Shadow met on a cold rainy night in an inn during the story Kusanar Tanaii. He was the only one that showed no sympathy for the characters in the story she told. She didn’t expect to see him after that night but she and those with her ran across him again the following day and they joined together in the goal to rescue Kyra Diamondwood.
Many years would pass after that journey their lives taking separate paths. Turq left Arlsyn behind and joined those that soared through the stars, Shadow continuing on a path that would lead her to becoming the leader of her people. Eventually their paths came back together, and what was thought to be a chance meeting between friends before moving on again changed when Turq was sent to Aerdon, where Shadow had gone.
Destiny and Fate are two things that both seem to want to avoid, but it seemed that the Paths they walked were destined to be intertwined. A legend came to life: The Warder and the Alnién. But when the danger was over their paths separated, Turq returned to the stars and for a time Shadow went with him until she could no longer handle the trapped feeling that came with being on a spaceship.
Shadow returned to S’Hea during the story The Quickening and simply never left. The two remain friends.
